From Boston, to Broadway, to Paris

In Cavtat’s Dom Kultura, on September 2nd at 9pm, the Epidaurus Festival presents a charming program entitled From Boston, to Broadway, to Paris, for piano four hands. The evening of salon music will include works from the cradle of European and American literature, under the fingers of Italian piano duo Silvija Maserati and Diego Terreni. Included in the program are Beach’s Summer Dreams op. 47, Gottschalk’s Ojos Criollos op. 37 and La Gallina op. 53, Nouvelles Darlces Espagnoles op. 65 by M. Moszkowskog, as well as Souvenirs Ballet Svita by Samuel Barber, full of carefree summer spirit. This work is composed of six parts, and was originally written specifically for piano four hands, though orchestral arrangements and arrangements for piano solo have also been derived.
